Workshops

One of the main goals of the EhBC group has been to educate our members and help them share their skills with each other. One way of achieving that goal is by teaching a series of workshops. At the moment, we’re busy with parties, munches and other events. However, we’ll probably resume our workshop series in the new year. In the meantime, be sure to check the calendar for information about workshops elsewhere.

The workshops are usually held on Saturday or Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00, in order to allow people from out of town to attend.

Our workshops are open to everyone, regardless of where they live or which groups they belong to.

Each workshop focusses on some specific skill, such as flogging techniques, wax play, or toy-making. There are opportunities to watch, ask questions, and participate if you choose. In some cases we’ll have more than one person demonstrating a particular technique, followed by a discussion of the different approaches.

Our goal is to make the workshops free, but we may have to charge a few dollars for those workshops where we need to actually rent a space. Because some of the locations will have limited seating, we’ll be keeping a reservation list to make sure things don’t get too crowded. You’ll need to be on that list in order to attend, and to join the reservation list you must be at least 18 years of age. We’ll have a waiver at the door, and someone will check ID to make sure you are who you say you are when you sign.

The workshops will all be listed in our calendar. To reserve a workshop space, get in touch with us using the Contact Us link at the top of the page (select Workshop Registration).
